Not all of the songs on the album display lyrical genius, but you gotta admit, Kanye has always found a way to say what nobody else could or would, in such an obvious way sometimes that it pisses you off that you didnt think of it first. I do know that i was stopped dead in my tracks the first time i heard 'Welcome to the Heartbreak'. And the beauty of music is that with anything, you'll have people who LOVE it and people who HATE it. It takes alot of guts to take a huge risk with an album when it would be much easier to do what you've been doing with success. '808's.' might or might not be an 'original' new direction, but its certainly a new direction for Kanye, and to my ears doesn't sound like anyone else. certainly not a single, just a vibe track, and no autotune on the vocals :-)ДЄs far as Kanye goes, i never fault anyone for trying to break new ground. Artist got dropped from his deal before this came out.

You know need to watch the way you talkin' to me, yo Just remember that you talkin' to me though How could you be so, cold as the winter wind when it breeze, yo Im in love with you, but the vibe is wrong you say his new album has great lyrics, example please, because I cannot seem to find one in 808s and hearbreaks. kanyes first 2 albums were really good, beats were different but enjoyable, and his writing really made the first album. by the way 'good life' also sucked very badly. kanye can't sing at all, and his writing just keeps slipping every album. all of the beats aren't simple but sound simple and don't make for a great listening experience. Almost the whole album is horrible, and to say that you like something because it is 'brave' and 'trying something new' is pretty dumb, just because it is something different, that doesn't make it special. I think a lot of people are calling out the kanye haters but not enough are realizing that they are on his band wagon.
